Alvaro Nino

I am a first-generation Dominican/Colombian-American who was born and raised in the South Bronx. I attended P.S I.S. 218 from 5th to 8th grade, graduating with honors in 2007. In 2016, I went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude and as a Presidential Scholar from Lehman College with a B.A. in History and Minor in Secondary Education. In 2018, I graduated from the City College of New York with an M.A. in Social Studies Secondary Education and became a Social Studies teacher in the NYCDOE. I am currently finishing my second year of teaching high school global history in the South Bronx.
